Optiplast

Optiplast doo is a family company founded in 2006, which grew out of the DDO trade, which has existed since 1989.

We are the leading Croatian manufacturer in the processing of polymeric materials (PELD, PELLD and PEHD), which includes the production of various foils and ready-made packaging.

Our annual processing capacity in polyethylene processing is approximately 5,000 tons. The company operates on its own area of ​​10000 m2 and has about eighty employees. In the last four years alone, we have raised our capacities by 40%.

We follow trends in both domestic and EU markets and accordingly invest in new technologies. Thus, in 2013, with co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund, we introduced a new polyethylene recycling line with a capacity of about 1,700 tons per year. We modernized the existing extruders in 2014 by purchasing gravimetric material dosing systems, which was co-financed within the Entrepreneurial Impulse measure B1. During the period 2015-2016, we procured and installed a new foil extractor and a multi-line machine for the production of garbage bags through the Operational Program of Regional Capital Investment Aid in order to retain and increase the number of workers published by the Ministry of Economy.

In the period until 2018, a new production hall was built, and several new machines were procured with the aim of reaching a processing capacity of 5,000 tons per year.

Since 2013, we have also introduced the ISO 9 001 Quality Management System and the ISO 14 0001 International Environmental Protection Standard.

We are a recognized Croatian manufacturer, which was also recognized by the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. We were awarded the Golden Kuna twice for the best small business in 2014 and 2016.

Our products are recognized in all major shopping centers such as Konzum, Spar Croatia, Metro, Mercator, Pevex, Kaufland, all members of the Ultra and NTL Group, Meat Industry Pivac brothers and many others. We also make brands for Konzum, Mercator, Ultra and NTL, which is another proof that we are the best in terms of price and quality on the Croatian market. We export to the EU market in the ratio of approximately 30% of total production. One of our largest foreign customers is the leading European retail chain Tesco.
