1987

After accumulating 15 years of experience in the wood sector, our company was founded in 1987 to perform wood drying services for industrial uses. We started at that time with our own 7-cell installation for drying wood.

1990

After a few years of intense activity, we see it necessary to expand the facilities in order to continue guaranteeing our good service. The increasing and continuous demand from our customers leads us to install 3 new dryers.

Nineteen ninety five

By 1995, the company has already built the 12 dryers that are currently operating. This year Timgad begins to market its own wood, both for the furniture sector and for the world of pallets and wood packaging. Thanks to our knowledge of the raw material, the drying treatment and the handling process, our wood has a quality guarantee that is highly appreciated by our customers.

2000

This year the last reforms in the infrastructure of the company are carried out: a new warehouse and the incorporation of the most modern tools for handling wood. This is when we started supplying semi-finished wood products: carpentry (steps, handrails ...) and packaging (new and recycled pallets, as well as all kinds of custom wooden packaging). Our extensive knowledge of the product also allows us to offer advice to customers on the advantages of drying and phytosanitary treatment ISPM15 of wood, to avoid difficulties and meet the quality standard that the IPPC and IPPC demand in articles made with this raw material.

2004

Timgad is the first company in the pallet and packaging sector to obtain the certificate of phytosanitary treatment NIMF15 (HT), a treatment that is already essential for all those companies that export their merchandise.

2020

As a company PEFC TM certified are proud to be part of the celebration of 20 years of PEFC and look forward to working together the next 20 years to ensure sustainable management of forests in the world.

Future

Juan F. Casellas Freixenet, manager of Timgad , considers that “the costs of drying and the phytosanitary treatment ISPM15 are not sufficiently valued in our country by the rest of the entities in the wood and packaging sector, since in most cases they are not settled.

That is why we are committed to an understanding between all the companies in the sector -especially in the areas where the largest volume of business is concentrated, such as Valencia, Zaragoza or the Basque Country-, to unify criteria. With a common commitment and establishing a series of unit rates within the market, we will prevent certain intermediaries from ceasing to benefit so that a service so important for the wood and packaging sector is paid appropriately.

This is an important decision and a commitment that we have with our clients. '

We have been specialists in drying wood for professional use for three decades.

The methodology that we have been applying in these years far exceeds the requirements required by the NIMF-15 regulation .

We are also dedicated to the commercialization of our own wood , which we sell wholesale or semi-finished for professionals and small carpenters: wooden packaging, recovered pallets for the manufacture of furniture, and pieces of carpentry and decoration, such as handrails, pilasters, steps and other accessories.

Computerized controls

We were pioneers in the application of new technologies in the sector.

Our facilities have 12 drying cells or chambers, in which the processes are controlled in a fully computerized manner.

Innovative attitude

Our character pushes us to constantly experiment : new technologies, experimentation in the field of drying for other applications or the development of our own instrument to measure the humidity of wood, among other innovations.

Experience and knowledge

We share our knowledge accumulated for more than 30 years , providing our technical advisory services to large companies and carpenters, so that they can take advantage of the advantages that artificial drying offers.
