Turku Ekotori

Rieskalähteentie 74, Vätti, Turku , Finland | Electronic Waste Recycling

Turku Ekotori Recycling Center is an independent non-profit environmental operator managed by the Association for Sustainable Development, which, in addition to recycling, employs on a large scale.

We recycle more than 170,000 items for reuse every year. Our operations save significant amounts of natural resources. In addition, our activities help to curb CO2 emissions, which in turn has the effect of reducing climate change.

For example, the production of an old steel-framed bicycle has taken more than 400 kilos and the production of a more modern light-metal-framed bicycle up to 12,000 kilos of natural resources. At the Turku Ekotori, obsolete bicycles are received and inspected, giving them new life.

More than 200 kg of natural resources are needed to make a fabric sofa and twice as much to make a leather sofa. The buyer of recycled goods always does an environmental act.
