The catalyst uses a chemical reaction to render the hazardous and noxious components of the exhaust gas harmless. This chemical reaction is made possible by a ceramic cell coated with a catalytically active precious metal alloy. The alloy contains rhodium, palladium and platinum. We dismantle the catalyst and crush the cell, from which the precious metals are then separated.

We have made recycling effortless and fast.

We supply the customer with collection boxes in which the  recyclable catalysts are collected and when the boxes are full, the customer informs us - we take care of the rest! We order pick-up transport from any corner of Finland to our headquarters in Korpilahti, Jyväskylä.

When the catalysts arrive at us, they are evaluated. We have a catalyst library we have created, which already has almost 3,000 catalysts. If the catalyst is not yet available in our library, then the point can be found! The new catalyst is imaged and measured in external dimensions, after which the catalyst is opened and emptied and the monolith found inside is measured. Precious metal contents are measured from the monolith, on the basis of which the price is determined. In addition to the catalyst dimensions and codes, the price is recorded in our program database. Because our program constantly monitors the prices of precious metals on the world stock exchange, our prices are always up to date.
Once all the catalysts in the batch have been priced, we pay their value to the customer’s account.

When the batteries reach us, they are weighed. Payment will be made immediately to the customer's account and a receipt will be emailed. If necessary, the customer will also receive a report from us on the transactions he has made with us during the year.
