Our Philosophy

A simple and at the same time difficult philosophy of action governs us and has made us last for several decades in the recycling sector: “ manage our customers' waste in a serious and efficient way, offering a quality service, complying with the Legal and Environmental Regulations in force at any given time ”

In this sense Reciclatges Pelegrí takes another step towards the future and since June 2007, has implemented an ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental Management System  integrated into an ISO 9001: 2008 Quality System, in order to further certify our service.

Since its creation, Reciclatges Pelegrí, SL has always been committed to adapting its equipment, facilities and means of transport to the technological advances available for each sector in the management of waste produced by third parties.

The story of three generations

1954

The Sr. Pelegrí Bergadà Pujó , father of the current Administrator, begins his activity in the business of the recovery of cardboard, plastic, glass and metals

1976

The generational change takes place, passing to direct the business Mr. Pilgrim Bergadà Spanish.

1986

We are an affiliated company in 1224 within the Recovery Guild of Catalonia.

1988

The first containers and boxes are bought in order to improve the quality of the service.

1994

From the foundation of ACESER as the Catalan Association of Waste Services Companies , Reciclatges Pelegrí, SL became a member of the Group.

1996

Due to the application of the Waste Law of Catalonia, the company is registered as a T-440 Carrier and in the General Register of Waste Managers of Catalonia (Department of the Environment / Waste Agency of Catalonia) with authorization No. 163.96.

2001

The company becomes a limited company, becoming Reciclatges Pelegrí, SL , and perhaps changing the code of waste transporter to the T-1713.

2002

Pilgrim Recycling SL had its turning point in growth during the year 2002 coinciding with the change of location in the new recycling and waste transfer plant, thus expanding the surface of our facilities at 5,000 m 2 .

2003

Following this change of location and with the granting of the Environmental License of the City of Sant Vicenç de Castellet , our waste manager code becomes E-858.04.

2004

She joins the company, Mrs. Judit Bergadà Puig , daughter of the current administrator, take over as head of quality and the environment.

2007

Reciclatges Pelegrí, SL is certified in an ISO 14001: 2004 Environmental Management system integrated into an ISO 9001:

2008

Quality System. 2008 Pilgrim Recycling SL is committed to investing in renewable energy and installs photovoltaic panels on the entire roof of its facilities to minimize electricity consumption.

2012

Pilgrim Recycling SL invests in a new plot of 15,000 m 2 , located next to the current one, thus having a total area of ​​20,000 m 2 .

2014

At the end of this year, the company will celebrate its 60-year history as a waste manager and transporter.

2015

At the beginning of the year, the second generational change of the company takes place, passing to direct the business Mrs. Judit Bergadà Puig daughter of the current administrator. Mr. Pelegrí Bergadà Castellà will take over the position of president of the company. We combine the experience of age with the energy of youth, together with a firm commitment based on the vocation of customer service. All these points are the keys to our added value, which allow us to differentiate ourselves. of our competition.
