NolPal Srl

Via Civil War Victims, 5, Faenza, Ravenna, Italy | Wood Recycling

History

The year 2011 is a turning point for pallets in Italy: international groups specializing in pallet for rent launch important development projects. It is the first full year of the phytosanitary heat treatment decided by EPAL on all pallets. At the end of 2010, the EU had launched the EUTR regulation on legally sourced wood in European companies. Preventive and repressive actions on the illegal pallet trade are intensifying. A group of entrepreneurs understands the opportunity to combine environmental, economic and social needs in a single project capable of responding to the challenge of efficiency, sustainability, legality: EPAL is the cheapest and most sustainable pallet if managed correctly. And the corrective to inefficiencies is rental. In 2011 NOLPAL was born as an 'experimental' management company. The calibration of a complex system and the agreement between partners requires three years of 'laboratory'. During the fourth year, in 2015, the nationwide operational service starts. The headquarters moved from Cesena to Faenza. The corporate structure (made up of three groups of entrepreneurs) pays 900 thousand euros of share capital, the general manager coordinates a team of 11 collaborators, and some important consumer goods companies are the first to choose the rental of the white pallet.
