Centro Rottami Srl

Via Grotte di Nottola 11 , Cisterna di Latina, Latina, Italy | Waste Management

Centro Rottami srl was established in 1985 to operate in the ferrous and non-ferrous scrap recovery sector. The business began immediately after the war by Mr. Gennaro Del Prete, father of the current administrator Leopoldo Del Prete.

This activity was born following the beginning of the recovery of the scrap and war remnants left by the allies in the Anzio landing in 1945.

At the time it was mandatory to give the war material collected to the Government Agent. Subsequently, when the figure of the Government Agent disappeared, the scrap collection was directed to the first electric steel mills which, at the same time, had begun to produce iron with new technologies. In 1965, a plot of land of about 7,000 square meters was purchased located in the then outskirts of Cisterna di Latina where the collection, storage and volumetric adjustment of the material continued until 1993.

In 1994 the business was transferred to a modern plant located in the Industrial Area of the Consortium for the Industrial Development Area of Lazio (Rome - Latina) in Via Grotte di Nottola, 16 in Cisterna di Latina (LT), on a land of over 80,000 square meters.
