WHO WE ARE

Cartiera di Bosco Marengo produces cardboard and cardboard for cores, spiral tubes, in-line tubes and cardboard for cones and corners. The product, 100% recycled obtained in reels and strips, is made entirely of top quality waste paper and cardboard. In 1968 the Bosco Marengo paper mill was taken over by the Ghigliotti family, which has been operating in the paper industry since 1902.

The tube factories, through the wide variety of products made available by Cartiera, produce various types of cardboard tubes for industrial use , cardboard for interlayer and corner pieces. The cardboard is marketed to the main Italian and foreign converting companies.

In 2000 a new continuous machine was launched which allowed to increase the quality of the products, to produce cardboard and cardboard that fully satisfy the needs of customers.

In the paper machine, the cellulosic mixture that flows uninterrupted is transformed into a sheet of cardboard, which is subsequently cut into strips in the rewinder. All the processing phases of the cardboard produced are monitored through a computerized control room and supervised by an operator, which allows you to follow all the processing phases of the cardboard to ensure quality, and to intervene promptly in the identification and correction of any product defects.

For the production of reels, only recycled paper is used, transforming into value what is '' waste '' at the start, creating a virtuous circle of recovery, recycling and sustainable growth leading to updating the key themes of the circular economy.

A GREEN ETHICS

The production of the Bosco Marengo paper mill is based on a regenerative industrial system: it involves the transition from the concept of the end of life of the products to that of continuous reconstruction, bringing benefits for the environment and for future generations; the first through low environmental impact production and the second through the creation of new jobs also known as “green jobs”.

The paper mill's commitment to following a GREEN corporate ethics is further underlined with the introduction, in 2014, of the high energy efficiency cogeneration plant which has contributed to increasing environmental benefits on a regional and global scale.

In 2018, innovative technological improvements were made that made it possible to maximize the recovery of the fiber that was normally sent for disposal because it cannot be intercepted in the production process.

This process makes it possible to use all the recoverable fractions and cellulose fiber residues. The efficiency of the raw material grinding phase, with the installation of the latest generation systems, allows the raw material to be processed to maximize the recovery of all the fiber still present within the waste and to start the fractions that are not cellulosic with energy recovery (CSS secondary solid fuel).

Circular economy in fact: industrial integration aimed at generating maximum value in the recycling chain was implemented with the establishment in 2018 of the ReLife Group from the meeting of Cartiera di Bosco Marengo, manufacturer of cardboard from recovered paper, with the network of companies of collection, transport, selection of recoverable materials of the Benfante Group.
