Mondialcarta S.p.a.

Mondialcarta SpA is located in the village of Diecimo, a fraction of the municipality of Borgo a Mozzano in the province of Lucca, in the Serchio Valley, a basin rich in factories, among which the companies for the manufacture of paper stand out in particular.

The company was established on July 4, 1974 by the Puccetti brothers: Edo, Luciano and Giampiero, with twenty years of experience in other business fields, who wanted to add a paper production plant to the group of companies they own.

The plant was designed for the manufacture of Test Liner paper, paper that at the time was scarcely produced in Italy (in Lucca there was only one plant of this type), but of which the converting market, the paper industry, was in great need. 

The chosen product was, and still is, manufactured with recycled paper, while abroad it was largely produced with cellulose as well.

Five years passed before production could be started, the time needed to build the shed, assemble the machinery and create a network of customers and suppliers.

In July 1979, production finally started.

In the years to come, many implementations have been made from many points of view: new machinery and new cutting-edge systems, but above all new projects and new ideas that continue every year to make Mondialcarta a historic company that, since its inception , manages to improve in production while respecting the environment and the circular economy.
