FIBEST srl
Via delle Calandre, 51, Florence, Firenze, Italy | Textile Recycling
The origins of the FILBEST spinning carding plant date back to the 1970s. The company has always followed the typical spinning process of the Prato district, making items both with new and recycled fibers with classic compositions of 80% wool and 20% polyamide, in medium-large counts.
In 2009 the company moved to the production plant in Calenzano (Florence). Here begins an evolutionary process that transforms FILBEST into a contemporary company, merging the tradition of carded spinning of the past with current production technologies.
Today FILBEST, to collaborations with important wool mills in the Biella area and spinning mills that produce knitting yarns, has managed to obtain an excellent quality standard on yarn produced with noble fibers such as 100% cashmere, both new and recycled.
The company is able to manage its investments on an innovative process but which at the same time boasts centuries-old traditions and experiences, all this thanks to important collaborations with companies in the Prato and Biella department. The final result is therefore an eco-sustainable and artisanal product for whose realization the figure and the experience of man remain fundamental.
For several years the company has specialized in producing yarns with noble fibers of cashmere, merino wool, angora, camel, mohair, alpaca, cotton and silk both in pure and blended with wool for the knitwear and weaving sector in titles from Nm 1 / 10,000 to 1 / 28,000 Nm also in colored.
