United Sanitation Services Inc is owned and operated by Daryl & Karin Stevens out of Belvidere, Illinois. We are members of the PSAI (Portable Sanitation Association International) & the NFIB (National Federation of Independent Business). We support many local governmental and non-profit organizations. It is of great importance to us to give back to our community. Whenever possible, we use local vendors and ALL of our vehicles and our portable facilities are made in the USA. Since day one, USS has strived to offer first rate and reliable services. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we'll always make sure you're satisfied!

Our History

United Sanitation Services Inc is a local, family owned and operated business that's been offering personalized services since 1977. Dale & Jerene Stevens purchased Belvidere Sanitary Service which was established in 1954 as a company specializing in septic tank installation, cleaning, and repair. Soon after, they started ABC Well & Pump since Dale had been drilling, installing, and repairing wells as well as septic systems, for many years. Dale & Jerene turned both businesses into a “family” adventure with their children – Daryl, Clayton, Donna, and Barb.

Daryl, while still working with his parents, started his own company in 1993 and named it Stevens Portable Toilets. As time went on, Dale & Jerene decided to gradually turn over the reins to Daryl’s very capable hands as they settled into their new adventure of owning and operating a self-storage facility. In 2003, Daryl and his wife, Karin, incorporated their business which now includes septic, water well, and portable rentals. In 2006, Daryl and Karin purchased Holliday Septic Services & Portable Toilet Rental, Inc., of which the owner decided to retire, increasing their customer base while maintaining previous customers’ loyalty.

Environmental Issues

United Sanitation Services Inc is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and all counties in which we provide service. We are compliant with all the rules and regulations set forth by the United States Environmental Protection Agency as well as the above-mentioned governmental agencies.
