The production of corrugated cardboard in Italy is over 6 billion square meters per year, equivalent to the surface of Hawaii, and its per capita consumption (66kg) is higher than that of pasta (28kg)!

De Pretto Scatolificio is a company founded in 1979 in Piovene Rocchette (VI) by Mr. De Pretto Giuseppe and Figli.

Aware of the good development prospects, especially here in the north-east, they decided to try their hand at this still little-known activity, in the Vicenza area, immediately demonstrating a good dynamism and an extreme ability to adapt. Over time, the company has been able to gain the trust of an increasingly large and qualified clientele who soon faced the need to make some changes in the business sector.

1995 was an important year for the company. It marked the opening of a second factory located in Carrè (VI), a choice made necessary above all to be able to continue to operate in the market looking for new development channels. De Pretto, from a simple manufacturer of generic boxes, has found in the new building the possibility of focusing its production on the production of punched and non-die-cut American boxes.

The installation of the new production line has guaranteed the company important production volumes, highly standardized in the type of material, without losing the possibility of differentiating the product from customer to customer.

2000 is the year that completely changed the company's asset and structure.

The experience gained over the years and the support offered by customers has pushed De Pretto to revolutionize, standardizing the production, until then divided between Piovene and Carrè, in Thiene. A new large factory is opened, the result of the continuous desire to get back into the game, a peculiar characteristic of this company.

2010 marks a new up-grade for the company. The dynamism and the will to renew itself has pushed the company department to make new investments in the production department, replacing the third production line with a latest generation one capable of an hourly production close to 18,000 boxes per hour.

Today De Pretto, with registered office in Thiene, continues to operate in the 'packaging' sector, more specifically in the corrugated cardboard packaging sector, employing 20 employees.

Its production ranges from the simple neutral brown box to the glossy box, punched, glued and printed in 4 colors; from the “box to the big box”, using any type of corrugated cardboard, from 2mm to 13mm triple wave ideal for deliveries by sea.
