Susquehanna Transfer is a locally owned and operated environmentally friendly facility specializing in waste management and transportation for the greater Northeastern Pennsylvania area and Southern Tier of New York. The need for a facility was driven by the needs of the gas and oil industry to have a cost effective and timely means of disposal under full DEP compliance.  With small communities spread out over hundreds of miles, private citizens had limited options to get rid of both household trash and recyclables, resulting in illegal transfer or even dumping.

Susquehanna Transfer is a one of a kind facility accepting both Residual and Municipal waste under one roof, located in Montrose, Pennsylvania that is easily accessible for use by both residential and commercial customers. Our rural setting provided waste management challenges for new industry establishing in the area, often forcing companies to send small loads to facilities hours away from operations. Susquehanna Transfer can manage and receive up to 1,000 tons of waste per day and uses various techniques to ensure that everything processed is done in the most environmentally conscious and sensitive way possible. The facility will accept municipal solid waste (includes both residential and business), commercial solid waste, construction and demolition debris and residual waste.

Our facility is fenced in to ensure security and prevent litter and the containment encompasses the entire facility to assure no environmental impacts occur. Sampling and analytical protocol for each type of waste have been developed in full compliance with local, state and federal regulations.   In addition to the environmental safety measures taken for the facility all waste processing is done indoors to reduce noise and other nuisance to the neighboring properties. 

Container Rentals and a large fleet of trucks are also available through Diaz Disposal  to ensure fast and convenient service.  Diaz Disposal is a sister company of Susquehanna Transfer assuring that our customers will be completely satisfied with their experience.
