The core area of ​​our entrepreneurial activity consists in the removal and treatment or recycling of non-hazardous and hazardous waste.

The success story of Müllex-Umwelt-Säuberung-GmbH began when the company was founded in 1980 with a total of three employees. In 1987 the plant was built at the Markt Hartmannsdorf site and the collection of problematic substances began. This location was expanded in 1992 with the commissioning of a composting plant. In 1993, the construction of a sorting plant for the sorting of residual waste and for the sorting of plastic packaging began. In the same year the Müllex-Umwelt-Säuberung GmbH was appointed as an ARGEV regional partner. 1995 the quality management system according to EN ISO 9001 was implemented.

In order to be able to manage the constant expansion, the company headquarters was built in Pirching in 1996. In the same year, Müllex-Umwelt-Säuberung-GmbH participated in the founding of ABCO, a cooperation between Austrian waste disposal companies for nationwide waste disposal solutions.

In 1999 the waste management competence center was established at the EMAS location in St. Margarethen an der Raab. It offers all kinds of services for municipalities, businesses and private households, starting with the processing of scrap wood and municipal waste, recycling various old materials and interim storage of hazardous waste, right up to the provision of containers and containers. The locations in Pirka and Sinabelkirchen have been used as storage areas for non-hazardous waste since 2015.

With the help of the latest technology, we reduce the amount of waste to a minimum and thus guarantee particularly environmentally friendly recycling and disposal. Low-noise, low-emission and special vehicles equipped with the latest technology ensure that everything runs smoothly to the highest standard.

Founding

Foundation of the Müllex-Umwelt-Säuberung-GmbH in the field of collection, sorting, processing and disposal of waste.

1987

Establishment of the Markt Hartmannsdorf plant with three employees.

1991

Introduction of separate waste collection and division of waste into organic waste, waste paper and metal waste. At this point in time, Müllex had eleven employees.

1993

Start of commissioning of the splitting system for household, bulky and commercial waste with an annual capacity of 60,000 tonnes per year.

Output has been approved to an annual capacity of 90,000 tons per year.

Commissioning of the substitute fuel system (RDF) in the 'waste management competence center' St. Margarethen an der Raab.
