The Boysen company was founded in 1954 by Herbert Boysen and was later taken over by the second generation of Rolf Boysen. The company is now in the third generation of family ownership and is managed by Frank and Thomas Boysen as managing directors. In the founding years, the proverbial pickaxe was still used.
