James Environmental Management Inc

Founded in 1994, James Environmental Management specializes in providing safety and environmental compliance assurance programs for the automotive recycling and scrap metal industries. It is our mission to reduce the chaos surrounding compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and to assist facilities in complying with the regulations in a way that ultimately benefits everyone. James Environmental Management, Inc. provides a team of professionals uniquely qualified to meet a variety of Compliance Assurance needs. We currently provide service nationally for over 1200 clients, ranging from large publicly traded organizations to small family owned locations.

The founder and owner of JEM, Mike James ( “ The Environmental Guy ” ) , complements his more than 40 years of hands-on experience in heavy industrial environments with a BS in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University, an MBA from Eastern New Mexico University, and an MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Tufts University in the Boston area. During his career with companies including General Electric, Texas Instruments and the electric utility industry, Mike has managed major facility infrastructure construction projects, facilities engineering and maintenance operations, major heavy industrial safety and environmental programs, and federal and state Superfund cleanups.
