Auto Zobel

1990 : The Auto Zobel company is founded by Mr. Peter Zobel as a 'one-man business' in Bannewitz / Dresden . First, vehicles of all kinds are repaired and vehicles are bought or sold on a small site under somewhat primitive circumstances .

1991 : A new site at Pieschener Allee 16 in Dresden is rented and the field of activity is expanded to include car disposal, spare parts trading and a 24-hour towing service.

1993 : Two large disposal projects are to be implemented, which are also noticed by the public . After a fire in an unauthorized car recycling facility, around 4,000 illegally parked vehicles have to be disposed of in Niedersedlitz . An illegal car dump is being cleared on Radeberger Strasse.

1994 : Construction of our modern 2nd branch in Dresden on Henningsdorfer Straße, which was opened in December 1994. The investments amounted to almost DM 2 million. We are the first company in Dresden to receive approval for car recycling in accordance with the new Federal Emission Protection Act and thus set standards in this city ​​and the entire region in the field of car recycling .

1997 : At the beginning of the year we rent a site for our Pieschener Allee branch on Papiermühlengasse 4-6 in Dresden. With this we achieve an expansion of the city-wide presence. In addition, the conditions for our employees and our customers are also improving. Vehicles involved in an accident can now be safely parked in halls.

1998 : We receive approval as a car scraper according to the new end-of-life vehicle regulations. In connection with this, we set up a complete workshop for vehicle repairs and body repairs . From this point on, our focus shifted to vehicle repairs.

2004 : On the Straße des 17. Juni, a modern body shop with a hydraulic straightening bench was set up and the focus was increasingly on body construction.

2009 : In the course of the scrapping premium, we became partners to several vehicle manufacturers. During this time, around 2500 vehicles were disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

2011 : After this time, car recycling played an increasingly minor role and we increasingly focused on car repair shops and used car sales.

2014 : Mr. Peter Zobel came to the conclusion to slowly retire from working life and to hand over the company to an employee who has been with the company for 20 years as part of the corporate succession . Mr. Thomas Minow has taken over the company with the name Auto Zobel.

2015 : The workshop has been expanded so that six lifting platforms are available for various repairs. A test lane has also been created. As a test base of the GTÜ, the main inspections or accident reports can now be carried out in-house.
