Foundation

The foundation of Gebr. Dijkhoff BV was laid in 1914. Antoon Dijkhoff, grandfather of the current directors Toine and Léon Dijkhoff, started trading and transporting stones, coal and other building materials at the Heeswijkseweg in Heeswijk.

Aan 't Kanaal

In addition to these activities, at the time he ran a café and fuel shop called Aan 't Kanaal, referring to the Zuid-Willemsvaart, which runs a stone's throw away from the company. Both by horse and carriage and by boat, the building and fuels were brought in and out, after which they were loaded and unloaded by hand.

Office building

The first trucks and Jacobs ladders were purchased just after the war. This was done by the 2nd generation Dijkhoff (Grard & Harry), later a Dragline was added. In the 1980s, cousins ​​Toine, son of Harry, and Léon, son of Grard, took over the helm. This 3rd generation took a dynamic approach and various developments and expansions followed, including a second yard and a characteristic office building.
