The Monterey City Disposal Service (MCDS) has provided the highest quality refuse and recycling collection services to the City of Monterey since 1963. Our mission is to provide the residents and businesses of Monterey the highest quality solid waste and recycling services in order to preserve resources, protect the environment and contribute to making our community and world a cleaner, safer place to live. 

At MCDS we strive to meet local and global environmental challenges and we take our lead role proudly. We encourage every person to REDUCE the waste they make, REUSE items instead of repurchasing what they don't need, and RECYCLE as much as possible. In addition, be creative and REPURPOSE what you have.
