In 1998 the company Gamma-Service Recycling GmbH was founded with headquarters in Leipzig. At the beginning, the company consisted of 13 employees who already had many years of experience in handling radioactive material. Since then, the company has grown steadily, so that the workforce grew to 50 in 2017. Our team includes highly qualified physicists, engineers and technicians as well as a back office specially trained for the challenges of our business area. On June 1st, 2017, Gamma-Service Recycling GmbH was taken over by the Eckert & Ziegler Group from Berlin. The Eckert & Ziegler Group With around 800 employees, it is one of the world's largest providers of isotope components for radiation therapy and nuclear medicine.

1998 Gamma-Service Recycling GmbH

Foundation of Gamma-Service Recycling GmbH with headquarters in Leipzig, a second location is in Radeberg. The company's focus is on the supply and recycling of radioactive materials from research, medicine and industry, the dismantling and decontamination of plants, radionuclide laboratories and other facilities, and the processing of radioactive sources for reuse.

2007 Gamma-Service Medical GmbH

Founding of Gamma-Service Medical GmbH as a sister company of Gamma-Service Recycling GmbH by Jürgen Reckin. The sister company has experience in after-sales service and device manufacturing as well as a complete line of blood irradiation systems. As a manufacturer of medical products, the company operates among customers in transfusion medicine and research radiation.

2008 Isotope Technologies Dresden GmbH

Founding of Isotope Technologies Dresden GmbH and takeover of the Dresden branch of Hans Wälischmiller GmbH, which has existed since 1991 and for which former employees of the Rossendorf nuclear research center worked. Among other things, the company has specialized in the production of systems for the production of radiochemicals and radiopharmaceuticals, hot cells, filling and distribution cells, manipulators as well as workplace and laboratory equipment.

Isotrend was founded in 1992 by scientists from the Institute for Research, Production and Application of Radionuclides in Prague. Isotrend has specialized in the production, distribution, quality testing, dismantling, delivery and disposal of radioactive sources as well as the maintenance and delivery of gamma ray projectors in the field of non-destructive material testing. The spectrum of customers extends across the industry, research and medicine sectors.
