For the sake of the environment, we have dedicated ourselves to recycling and recycling old cars since 1998. With the most modern 'drainage technology' and with machines and tools according to the latest technology, we are able to implement and adhere to the strict guidelines of the environmental laws.

In addition, over the years there has been the overall disposal / recycling of various materials from scrap iron and non-ferrous metals to so-called 'hazardous waste' such as 'A IV wood'. To round off the entire disposal service, we have an extensive container - and customer service with which we can collect the material quickly and reliably directly from the customer.

To our status as a 'waste management company', we guarantee that we can dispose of all recorded materials, such as scrap and scrap metal, building rubble and mixed construction waste, scrap wood, building materials and much more, through environmentally friendly, modern disposal.

1998

Just in time for the introduction of the 'Altfahrzeugverordnung', 'ARV Winkler GmbH', auto and raw material recycling, was founded as a subsidiary of Thommen AG from CH-Kaiseraugst by Stephan Thommen † 2011 (CEO Thommen AG) and Karl Winkler ( Senior boss, ARV Winkler GmbH) in Freiburg i. Breisgau founded.

Since the foundation, we have been the only end-of-life vehicle dismantling company in Freiburg that is certified in accordance with Section 5, Paragraph 3 of the End-of-Life Vehicle Ordinance, which is authorized to issue the legally required 'certificate of destruction' for the disposal of end-of-life vehicles.

During the one-year construction period of our current location, we were temporarily rented from 1998 to 1999 in a former car dealership. In September 1999, we finally moved into the completed 'car recycling section' in Engesserstraße 7 in the north industrial area.

2001

In December 2001 we bought the neighboring property and expanded our company to include the 'scrap iron, metal and waste disposal' section. We set up a 50 ton vehicle scale and since then we have been able to offer total disposal on an area of ​​approx. 8000 m².

2004

In March 2004 we had ourselves certified for the first time as a 'waste disposal company' (EfB) according to § 52 KrW- / AbfG. Thanks to the annually recurring certifications for “end-of-life vehicle dismantling company” and “disposal specialist”, we can reliably meet the strict legal environmental requirements.

With the extensive dumpster and container service, we round off our environmental services and can carry out and guarantee 'disposal from a single source' from removal from the customer, through processing on our premises to final recycling, disposal or disposal.

2008

In January 2008 we bought the 'Autoverwertung Götzelmann' in Hausach / Kinzigtal and opened our first branch after several months of renovating the site. There, too, we offer the same services on approx. 4000 m² as in Freiburg.

2011

In the course of 2011 we will open our 'automotive master workshop' in new premises and can thus offer our customers an additional service 'all about cars'.

We have been a family business since day one, run by Karl Winkler (senior boss) and sons Jens and Timo Winkler (junior bosses).

We strive to continue to offer a clean and reliable environmental service for our customers and for the environment in the future .

2012

The management changed on January 1st, 2012. The previous managing director and company founder, Karl Winkler, handed over the management to his sons Jens and Timo Winkler. He will remain as a partner and advisor to the company. We also opened our Kfz in January 2012. Master workshop in our new premises in Mitscherlichstr. 1a in the north industrial area.
