Our company (Recycling GmbH Lahnau, Basaltwerk Großen-Buseck GmbH & Co. KG, Quarzsandwerk Mittelhessen GmbH) has been awarded the seal of approval 'Safe with System' , the industry-specific implementation of NLF / ILO-OSH 2001 , by the professional association for raw materials and chemical industry ( BG RCI) - it has been proven that the requirements of OHSAS 18001: 2007 are implemented.

Nature and environment

We work and produce in harmony with the environment. For us, environmental protection and sustainability are natural components of our activities. We understand environmental protection in all areas of work as a prerequisite for sustainable development. We work extremely closely with all responsible authorities, this also applies to operational monitoring and preventive environmental protection. We take great care to limit the immission of noise and dust as much as possible. The use of new, modern machines and devices means that (legal) limit values ​​are always clearly observed.

The extraction of valuable natural stones, sands and clays is always associated with temporary interventions in the ecology and the landscape. We are well aware of this connection, which is why the link between ecology and economy is of great importance to us. Hence, be togetherDeveloped dismantling and recultivation plans with public decision-makers, professional associations and other institutions. Quarries, sand pits and clay pits can already offer a suitable habitat for a multitude of rare animals and plants during the mining phase through rugged demolitions, jagged rock slopes, scree slopes, small and tiny bodies of water in depressions, gullies and old lanes as well as ponds. Often times, biotopes that have grown naturally during and during the dismantling have already been created, which serve as a shelter and (new) habitat for rare and endangered species. This shows that effective species protection can be achieved with mutual agreement between nature conservation and the mining company.

In addition, we have been successfully reusing building materials for many years to protect the natural raw material base by processing mineral waste (building rubble) into a qualified material and reusing it.
We help to recycle (mineral) waste and to recultivate habitats for people and nature.

Our company (Recycling GmbH Lahnau) is certified according to §52 KrW- / AbfG for the activities 'Storage - Treatment - Recycle' as a waste management company (EfB).
