Collect:

The collection is collected from households and in cooperation with church and charitable institutions. The offer of permanently installed collection containers in cooperation with charitable organizations has been particularly well received. This results in an ecological benefit: The service life of the textiles is extended considerably. We are partners of numerous regional non-profit institutions and organizations.

Sorting and recycling:

Up to 600,000 tons of clothing are collected, sorted and made usable again every year in Germany alone. Half of it is wearable clothing. 2% are sold in German second-hand shops. 48% are exported to countries whose populations depend on second-hand goods because they cannot pay for new goods. Another 42% of the collected old textiles are processed into versatile industrial raw materials. After processing in rice mills, textile fibers can be used in the production of cleaning rags, car mats, roofing felt or paper. Around 8% can be used to generate energy. The sale of the intact clothing bears the costs that arise from the recycling of the textiles that cannot be directly reused.

Transparency:

We provide information about participating organizations and companies, export routes and importing countries. We guarantee the professional sorting of the collected goods before delivery to the re-consumer. We observe import bans and other protective provisions for markets in developing countries. We guarantee environmentally friendly, material recycling of old textiles. We As a commercially commissioned collection company and cooperation partner of charitable institutions, these organizations participate. We secure jobs for people in Germany. These positive tasks can continue to be ensured if private households continue to provide household garments and textiles for textile recycling in the future, in accordance with our joint product responsibility.
