BREWELO GmbH & Co.KG is a medium-sized, family-run company in Bremen-Hemelingen. With 75 employees, we have been active in the areas of waste advice, collection and recycling of old textiles, trading in wood, compost and sawmill by-products as well as the transport and sale of propane gas bottles for 23 years. We can look back on over 20 years of experience in operating numerous recycling stations that we operated on behalf of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen.

Company history of BREWELO

Although BREWELO GmbH & Co. KG will only appear on the market under this name from December 1st, 2015, we can look back on 30 years that have led to this:

It all started in April 1985 when Germany's first recycling center was founded in Bremen-Findorff by an employment initiative by the city of Bremen. In the next few years, more recycling centers will be opened and the issue of waste disposal and environmental protection is becoming more and more important in the Hanseatic city. For this reason, the BIR Bremer Innovations- und Recycling und Produktevermarktung GmbH was founded in 1988 as a result of the employment initiative. A large number of studies and concepts relating to waste and recycling are created here.

In December 1993 the activities of the BIR are then merged with selected projects of the employment initiative and the new 'BIR Bremer Recycling GmbH' is created. In the next almost 22 years, BIR will grow into an established company offering a wide range of services in the areas of supply and disposal. offers. This product portfolio will later be complemented by the subsidiaries “Cubicon” and “Bremer Rohstoff”.

In 2015 we then decided to optimize this product portfolio and merge the three companies into one strong company: BREWELO GmbH & Co. KG.
