Bob's Rural Garbage Service provides residential and commercial trash services and dumpster services for the Alvarado, TX area.

Bob's Rural Garbage opened for business in 1987. My mom and dad, Bob and Betty Barron, started the rural service out of a need for reliable garbage service. They started with 1 truck and a few customers. I purchased the business from them when they retired in 2010. Since 1987, we have grown to 25 employees and over 7,000 customers. We run 7 routes per day, 5 days per week. We are so very thankful for our loyal customers and employees.

About the owner:

I am Tammy Barron Byrd. I grew up the youngest of 3 girls. My dad worked 3 jobs when we were young to provide a great home. My mom sometimes worked part time jobs but was mainly a wonderful homemaker and mom. We grew up living the best country life you can imagine. Raising and showing cattle and pigs among various other livestock. Hard work was the normal and being a girl was never an excuse for anything. I still appreciate those values. My husband Jason and I have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. I am truly blessed in this life and thank God daily for providing a great family and a wonderful way to make a living.
