Metarec Metallrecycling GmbH sees itself as a competent partner in matters of steel scrap and non-ferrous metal recycling.

As a waste management company, we comply with the environmental guidelines at our locations in Lauter-Bernsbach and Zwickau in order to guarantee the professional recycling and processing of secondary raw materials.

With individual recycling and disposal concepts, our family business makes an important contribution to the conservation of valuable resources.

State-of-the-art technology and processes make it possible to meet the strict quality requirements of steelworks, foundries, smelters and smelters.

Our know-how makes us a strong partner for the manufacturing industry, metal traders, handicrafts and private individuals. Our business relationships range from Germany to many countries in Europe and the Far East. We have become an interesting and reliable partner, especially for the neighboring Czech Republic.

Our main business area extends from Plauen via Zwickau to Chemnitz. Thanks to our branch in Zwickau, we can optimally serve Zwickau and the surrounding area.

History

Jan. 1990

Company foundation as 'EMG - Erzgebirgische Metallhandelsgesellschaft' in Schneeberg

1993

Commissioning of the space at the freight station in Lauter and renaming to 'metarec Metallrecycling GmbH' Acquisition of the site with the freight station in Lauter, constant expansion and reconstruction of the site, space, hall and office building

2000

Construction of a special chip and storage hall

2002

Opening of the Zwickau branch in the former ceramic site

2004

Construction of another warehouse and paving of further larger areas as well as installation of the third oil separator

2005

Extension and expansion of social rooms

2007

Extension of an office complex

2011

Reinforcement of the last areas Acquisition of the former 'coppersmith' in Zwickau Start of demolition and renovation work at the Zwickau location

2012

Construction of a new office and administration building in Zwickau. Renovation and further expansion of the warehouse

2013/14

Further expansion and modernization of the locations Acquisition of new, high-performance technology

2015

21 people and 2 apprentices are currently employed. In the summer of 2015 we have been serving the environment and our customers for 25 years.

2017

22 people are currently employed. In the office we have a trainee as a wholesale merchant. Further apprenticeships for 'warehouse logistics specialists' are available.

2018

In Lauter, we strengthened our team with a trainee. Another warehouse specialist was hired in Zwickau

2019

In Lauter, we concreted the rest of the storage area. New storage boxes with partitions made of concrete blocks were created The fourth oil separator went into operation.

2020

Anniversary year !!! We have been serving the environment and our customers for 30 years
