Now confirmed as the oldest family owned trash business in Illinois! Ed and Lily Burris established the company in 1958 by going door to door to promote their services in Carbondale. Over the past six decades, many aspects of the waste industry have changed dramatically. However, through all the years, quality service has remained the cornerstone of our business.

A Part of the Community

Ed Burris Disposal Service LLC provides FREE services for several local community non-profit organizations and causes. We help Keep Carbondale Beautiful at its annual spring cleanup in Carbondale, and the Lions Club's Annual Pancake Days. Additionally, we've provided waste services to Habitat for Humanity for many years, and in more recent years we've provided dumpsters for Special Oylimpics & Relay For Life events.
