1959 - Ettengruber is founded
Johann Baptist Ettengruber founded the Ettengruber company together with his wife Maria. He operated the ash barrel emptying in Allach and the surrounding area. The in-laws' farm served as the depot. At that time, the haulage company still collected one mark per tonne. The small-scale business flourished and a year later three garbage trucks rolled through the north of Munich for Ettengruber.
1962 - transportation, demolition and earthworks
Thanks to large local industrial companies such as MAN, Krauss-Maffei and Diamalt, the waste disposal business was going very well and the first self-loading truck for the transport of bulk goods was purchased. In 1964, the Ettengruber company completely ceased its disposal operations and increasingly concentrated on the transport of earth and gravel to supply construction sites.
1970 - The company continues to grow
1969/1970: The first crawler loader for excavation and demolition is purchased. As a practical test, the Kirsch & Co. sawmill with eight employees will be demolished over a period of two years. As part of this, the company's own office and residential building is being built, and a hydraulic excavator and wheel loader are implemented.
1981 - Foundation of the GmbH
With 35 employees, the former partnership grows into a GmbH in 1981. Starting in 1982, three small mini excavators with a dead weight of 1,400 kilos strengthen the Ettengruber machine park - with resounding success, a small revolution. Because they replace manual labor on small construction sites and are quickly used to capacity for years.
1986 - Sophia Lehmer joins the company
In 1986 Sophia Lehmer joined the company, who, after marrying Johann Ettengruber in 1991, became part of the company's management as Sophia Ettengruber.

1988 son Johann Josef Ettengruber takes over the management. In 1989 his father died after a long and serious illness. At the beginning of the 1990s the company had around 45 employees.
1996 - Süderde as part of the group of companies
In 1996, Johann Josef Ettengruber took over the Süderde company from his friends Schleitzer family. These activities are further expanded: In 1998 the Munich-West soil exchange was founded, a project that caused a sensation nationwide. On an area of 40,000 square meters, soil mixtures that are no longer usable are processed again. The products can be reused in gardening, landscaping and road construction.
2001 - Relocation to the new commercial property
The workforce has now grown to 90 employees and the tools and machines are stored in four storage locations. In order to create a better infrastructure and a new headquarters, Ettengruber acquires an 11,000 square meter commercial property on the outskirts of Dachau and builds a new one for his operation: an office building, a workshop and his own gas station.
2012 - Johann Andreas Ettengruber joins the company
In 2012 the son of Sophia Ettengruber and Johann sen. Ettengruber joins the company. Johann Andreas Ettengruber has been in charge of scheduling since 2014.
