Van Helvert Recycling was established in 1996. The business began with just the owner and 1 truck. Over the course of the years, the business has developed into a company with 5 full-time employees and 6 trucks.

We operate a collection service for companies and private individuals for the following products:

Old oil and used vegetable fats
Food residue (swill)
Packaged food products that are defective or past their sell-by date

The way the company has developed reflects how society has changed over the past 10 years in terms of recycling. In the past, waste was seen as just that: waste, to be thrown away – and there was nothing special about it. Today, recycling and green energy are ‘hot topics’ and the team at Van Helvert just loves being part of that process. Our employees really enjoy their work and place great value on being customer-friendly and flexible in everything they do.

We are based in Weelde (Ravels) and do everything we can to contribute towards a better environment.
Our main activity is the recycling of edible oils, fats, swill and packaged foods.

How?

Used oils are collected in 60, 120, 150 or 200-litre barrels or in IBC containers. These containers are collected by prior arrangement. Food residue (swill) is collected in containers. Packaged food products are collected in Bio-Boxes or 240-litre containers.

Where?

Our environmentally friendly services take place in Belgium (Kempen), and in Noord-Brabant, the Netherlands.
