Quatra
Mosten 17, Lokeren, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium | Liquid Oils and Chemicals Recycling
Quatra originated as a collector of used frying oil and has grown into a processor of used frying oil. We can now even call ourselves a producer and supplier of fresh frying oil.
Our goal is to serve our customers as well and as cheaply as possible!
Nothing is lost: 100% optimization
Quatra stands for getting 100% energy from waste. Nothing is wasted: frying oil goes to biodiesel, frying residues are used for biogas, other waste streams such as plastic, etc. are washed and sorted and in turn goes to recycling.
During our years of operation, we have learned that customers have different needs. Thanks to this experience and our dense network, we have built up enormous flexibility with very good service at competitive prices.
'We are no ordinary waste collector: we supply raw materials to your restaurant which we convert after use into raw material for the production of biodiesel'
Piet Van Pollaert - manager

History
Quatra is a family business with more than 50 years of experience in the recycling of used deep-frying fats and oils.
The name Quatra comes from the Atravet company, founded in 1984, with the specific aim of collecting and recycling used cooking fats. After the takeover of the companies Vetboerke - Biorecup (France), Biovet (clientele France) and Van Wijk en Olthuis (Belgian clientele) and Ecoson (Belgium), Atravet was renamed Quatra in 2014.
In the meantime, Quatra has a market share of more than 65% on the Belgian and Northern French markets for the collection and processing of used frying oil.
In 2011 we moved to our new site in Lokeren - Belgium. Here we have built an extremely modern factory where we economically process the used oil in the most environmentally and labor-friendly way into a basic raw material for the production of bio-diesel. With our own staff, we are responsible for the collection of fats from our 45,000 customers. We think it is important to take everything into our own hands so that we can guarantee good service and high flexibility.
Most of the collected fats are sent directly to our site in Lokeren. We use depots to further strengthen our services in certain regions. Quatra has depots in Belgium: Lokeren, Mechelen, Brussels and Liège. in France, there are depots in Béthune, Cambrai, Mitry-Mory, Ivry-Sur-Seine, Eperney, Nancy, Metz, Strassbourg, Sélestat, Muhouse, Troy, Chateaudun, Rennes, La Rochelles, Bordeaux, Angers, Nantes, Tours, Lyon, Toulouse, Montpelier and Nice.
Through the years of experience we have learned that you not only grow by offering good service to your customers, but that you also have to be very competitive in terms of price.
In order to guarantee the best price to our customer, we are constantly looking for new opportunities to improve our process. We do this not only by building a dense network and good routing in a straight line (recycling frying fat), but also by offering more services to our existing clientele. For example, in 2010 we also started supplying fresh frying fats to our own customers. By combining deliveries with collections, we can save on transports and lower prices.
In the meantime, we have expanded this into a fully-fledged activity in which we supply our own frying oil on a regular basis to more than 2000 customers under the brand name Quatra .
This increase in turnover has allowed us to set up a new factory in 2016 where we will mix and package the frying fats and oils ourselves into a finished product. this means that we are no longer just a supplier but also a producer.
By expanding our activity with the supply of new oils and fats, we want to offer our clientele an advantage. We combine the delivery of these products with the collection of used oil in one transport. That way we are greener and cheaper. We are happy to share this advantage with our customers.
Quatra would like to thank its clients and employees for their trust and hopes to grow with them on the same momentum.
We find it very important to maintain good contact with our customers, so ... if there are any questions or comments, we would like to hear from you. You can call or email us to the head office in Belgium.
info 2019: Quatra has started the construction of a hyper modern production unit at a new location. We expect the new factory to be ready by the end of 2020.
