History

In 1984 Wilko Wagner founded the demolition company Wilko Wagner. In the founding years, the focus was on manual demolition, gutting and clearing of properties.

But that changed with the first Atlas AR61 wheel loader, which expanded the range of services and optimized work processes. This machine was the starting shot for sustainable corporate development. Excavators and wheel loaders of various sizes, attachments and a wide variety of equipment were added. The company gained a reputation and continued to grow. Not least because of the openness to innovations in the demolition method and the machine technology used.

The real formula for success, however, lies in the loyalty of the employees to the company, many of whom from the early years are still working at WIWA today. Many of the employees' children are now also employed in the company. Wilko Wagner's two sons, Björn and Torben Wagner, both run independent companies within the Wagner Group. The focus on the processing of construction waste at the end of the 1980s gave the company an additional boost.

At the beginning of the 1990s, the company reached a size in terms of personnel, projects to be completed and sales that made an adjustment of the company structures sensible. In 1992 the sole proprietorship was therefore converted into a GmbH. Under this name (WIWA WILKO WAGNER GmbH), our company is still known and successful on the market today.

Since 1989, WIWA has been one of the first companies in Germany to have its own construction waste processing plants. In 2000, a plot of around 25,000 m² at Hovestrasse 31-33 was taken over. A BImSch-approved recycling site for the processing of building rubble and for trading in recycled building materials is operated here in the immediate vicinity of the Port of Hamburg and the city center.

In 2008, in cooperation with the company's subsidiary ACHT GmbH, the BiMSch-approved site on Ellerholzweg was integrated into the company's recycling and disposal concept. A performance-based and qualified disposal of all materials resulting from demolition is guaranteed in the Hamburg area and the surrounding area. In the federal capital, this is achieved through a BimSch-approved recycling site in the outskirts of Berlin, which is operated by the sister company Abbau-Wiwa-Wagner GmbH.

The initial focus on demolition was gradually expanded and supplemented over the decades. Today the company is one of the most efficient providers in the area of ​​demolition, restoration and environmental technology, recycling, earthworks and munitions recovery in northern Germany. With large construction sites in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Wiesbaden, Worms, Bielefeld, Hilden, and many more. the company is known and valued nationwide today. In the eastern federal states, the group of companies is mainly represented by our sister company Abbau Wiwa Wagner GmbH, based in Berlin.
