We are an owner-managed family company in the third generation with around 50 employees.

Based in the heart of the Weser Uplands, we are currently mainly engaged in the production of building materials for qualified road construction, transport with our own vehicle fleet and partial use of external vehicles.

Our material used to be dismantled by blasting, and in recent years it has only been done by machine.

We determine the quality of our stone through self-monitoring in our laboratory and regular checks by the lime association.

1935 Founding of a forge and plumbing by Johannes Altmiks, senior.

1953 Foundation of a haulage company (local and long-distance freight transport) by Franz Altmiks

1955 Expansion to include a fuel trade with solid and liquid fuels

1958 Opening of the Bremerberg quarry

1959 Johannes Altmiks, jun. into the company

1964 opening of a sand pit

1969 Operation of an asphalt mixing plant

1974 Takeover of the Bosseborn quarry

1989 Martin Altmiks joins the company

1989 Expansion of the Bremerberg quarry into a landfill and recycling of artificial rock

2011 Takeover of container service

Our philosophy for dealing with nature and the environment

We achieve security around mining sites through fences and earth walls.

Recultivation after the abandonment of mining areas returns the landscape to its original state.

In return for interventions in nature, we cultivate compensation areas . Our measures include orchards, extensive use of pastures, plowing of arable land into pasture areas, numerous hedge structures and reforestation of a forest compensation area.

Tire washing system at the exit of our quarry: This is how we succeed in seriously reducing the road pollution caused by our transport vehicles.
