WHO ARE WE ?
GDE GROUPE ECORE, EXPERT AND MAJOR PLAYER IN THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN FRANCE AND INTERNATIONALLY
GDE Groupe ECORE, one of the leaders in recycling in France and in Europe, controls all activities in the recycling chain: from the collection of end-of-life materials to the marketing of new secondary raw materials in France, Europe and the world .
GDE aims to revive the material for the benefit of the environment, the community and the companies that trust us.
A NATIONAL PRESENCE CLOSER TO OUR CUSTOMERS
Our activities extend over a vast network of installations guaranteeing responsiveness and consistent quality of service throughout France .
This territorial network enables local collection and a service adapted to the local and national needs of each of our customers.
ECORE's European presence also enables the group to support companies in their international development, with end-to-end control of the reception, processing and transport of materials.
UNIQUE EXPERTISE IN THE TREATMENT OF MATERIALS
GDE ECORE group collects, recycles and markets 5 main families of materials : ferrous metals (steel), non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, etc.), lead-acid batteries, paper-cardboard and plastics.
The processing and trading of ferrous and non-ferrous metals form its core business. The company works more specifically in the end-of-life vehicles (ELV) and waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) sectors.
Upstream, it offers studies and advice to its customers to identify needs, characterize the materials, offer optimal collection and recovery solutions and support the environmental management of their activities.
AN INDUSTRIAL TOOL AMONG THE MOST EFFICIENT IN EUROPE
GDE ECORE group thus achieves unmatched recovery rates in the sector (more than 80% all materials combined and up to 98% for battery components) thanks to techniques allowing to separate materials increasingly finely, to produce very high industrial quality and increase its environmental performance.
STATE-OF-THE-ART LOGISTICS FOR TAILOR-MADE SOLUTIONS
Its ability to massify and transport recycled raw materials in France and internationally is one of its major assets. From their reception to marketing, GDE ECORE group uses its own logistics resources (skips, vehicles, fleet, etc.) and favors multimodality to reduce costs, delays and environmental impacts as much as possible.
In addition to quality control, the company provides real-time IT monitoring of each collection to gain agility and guarantee the traceability and security of flows.
A STRONG COMMITMENT TO SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
The company complies with the highest QSE standards in the sector in order to guarantee an activity that respects people and the environment.
This commitment is reflected in the triple ISO 14001 (environment), MASE (safety) and ISO 9001 (quality) certification of its production sites and the promotion of best practices alongside manufacturers and public authorities.
A compliance system has been put in place to ensure strict compliance with the standards and commitments contained in the Group's Ethics Charter.
A DETERMINED FIRE RISK PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT POLICY
The waste recycling activity represents the major source of the fires recorded in France on all Classified Installations. This observation leads the insurance market to tighten its conditions, particularly in terms of high deductibles, leading recyclers to have to insure a very large part of the fire risk themselves. Controlling this risk is therefore all the more imperative for the company. To minimize them, GDE has set up a strong organization based on:
• Control of incoming products:
The regular awareness of our suppliers to the products accepted, the main source of fire being directly linked to the quality of the goods we receive;
The e control reception bringing downgrades and reminders to the supplier, up to the cessation of business with the supplier concerned
• organization of storage, by dividing the lots as much as necessary and spacing them out to ensure that safety distances are respected.
• Detection, by:
The presence of specialized guards trained in fire risk, in charge of making systematic rounds in all of the risk areas;
The deployment of hot / smoke point detection units , and their integration into an alert loop including an Operational Technical Center operating 24 hours a day, as well as remote monitoring.
• Means of intervention: GDE has decided to go beyond the means requested by the Prefectural Decrees by investing massively in different types of equipment (extinguishing network, inerting, etc.) in accordance with the recommendations from insurers;
• Training: an ambitious training program has been developed with the aim of training almost all operators in the handling of fire extinguishers, as well as a large center of Second Intervention Teams, able to organize larger-scale interventions;
• Feedback: partnerships with firefighters allow for information exchange and regular upgrading. Regular exercises are organized with the firefighters of the SDIS .
