Capiau Recycling

Waaslandlaan 20, Lokeren, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium | Aluminium Recycling

In 1955 the Capiau family started collecting scrap metal.

The company gradually specialized in demolishing ships and demolishing buildings.

In 1980 father Omer and son Wim started a small shipyard in Willebroek.

In 1992 son and current manager Wim Capiau took over the company and started a new shipyard in Lokeren.

After only a few months the site was too small and the second adjoining plot of land was bought. In 2002 the name was changed to Capiau Recycling and the company began to specialize more in non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper and zinc.

Today Capiau Recycling is a household name in Belgian recycling and has been known for many years for its progressive aluminum recycling.

With the latest expansion, Capiau Recycling has a new large warehouse where we can recycle aluminum and other metals as efficiently as possible with the latest recycling machines, with a view to the circular economy.
