The history of Cornelissen Groep in a nutshell

In 1930 Jo Cornelissen started his transport company in Nijmegen. Coal was transported to the local gas works by horse and cart. We are proud of our company's history. For example, Cornelissen actively contributed to the reconstruction of Nijmegen after the Second World War by also taking on groundwork. One of the first customers for which Cornelissen provided road transport was for the then Dutch Export Paper Factory. That was in 1935. Essity, as the paper mill is called today, is still in our customer base.

After Henk Cornelissen took over the company in 1991, the company experienced rapid growth. It has grown into a modern logistics service provider with 350 trucks, more than 800 employees, sustainable and smart solutions, 25,000 m2 of warehousing, a pallet company and the specialist transport & storage division 'Polar Special'.
