H. Smit VOF

H. Smit VOF was founded by Mans Smit, who has been familiar with the metal trade from an early age. The company was founded in the 1970s. At the time still with a partner and with a specialization in scrap metal trade and the demolition of cars. Mans Smit was also active as an international driver. After a few years, the export of tractors was started. This ensured that there was sufficient capital to further professionalize and expand the company. In the early 1980s, H. Smit VOF was officially appointed as a scrap and metal trader and since then all eyes have been focused on the recycling of ferrous and non-ferrous products.

The next generation entered the company and in 2008 the company was taken over by daughter Astrid and son-in-law Erik Boerma and the company was expanded to recycle waste products.

The company is still growing and all possibilities for recycling and processing materials in the most environmentally friendly way possible are being explored. We would be happy to do that for you too!
