Schrijver Zutphen BV
Loskade 3, Zutphen, Gelderland, Netherlands | Waste Collection & Disposal
The Schrijver family has been collecting, processing and sorting all types of metals for about 65 years. Schrijver is active in both the Netherlands and Germany. Since August 2015, Schrijver has expanded its services with the waste collection branch. What once started as a company with a cargo bike, driven by grandpa Schrijver, has grown into a company of over 10,000 square meters with a wide range and strong image.
Schrijver is now run by the third generation. Schrijver Zutphen is a modern metal recycling and waste collection company that can be used by both companies and private individuals. The metal is collected in a responsible and environmentally friendly manner and made suitable for reuse. Schrijver processes thousands of tons of non-ferrous and ferrous scrap on an annual basis. All residents of surrounding villages can also order a container for their renovation from us. The workforce consists of 20 motivated employees who all contribute to the expansion and optimization of the company.
Durability
From the entry into force of the Euro 6 standard, the nitrogen oxide emissions of all vehicles with diesel engines must drop sharply compared to the previously applicable Euro 5 standard. The intention is that the entire fleet will meet the Euro 6 standard within three years. Schrijver is also already in possession of a DAF multilift truck that meets the Euro 6 standard. In January, the fleet will be expanded with a new Volvo truck that is also equipped with a Euro 6 engine.
Society and therefore regulations are increasingly focused on sustainable and environmentally friendly entrepreneurship. We think it is important to go along with this and to radiate this to our customers. The entire site at Loskade 3 is paved and equipped with a liquid-tight floor. The company thus complies with the increasingly strict environmental requirements.
Developments
The company is not standing still. In addition to the collection of scrap metal, Schrijver is also involved in the collection of industrial waste, construction and demolition waste, wood, rubble, green waste and other residual flows. A possible expansion of transport options in the future is obvious, given the fact that the waterways to Germany and Belgium have a positive location. An additional advantage of transport over water is that the environmental impact is lower than when trucks are used. Everyone who enters our site passes two radio detection poles. These poles signal possible radioactive waste. Industrial waste such as smoke detectors or sprinkler systems can contain radioactive material.
