Martens Metaal Elst BV was founded in 1920 and since then has been involved in the processing of scrap and metal waste from all sectors, especially the electricity world. Martens Metaal Elst BV has long been a licensed and certified facility for the acceptance and recycling of iron and metals. We do this in accordance with applicable national and international regulations. We focus on the collection and processing of scrap and metals and we specialize in the collection and processing of electrical scrap that originates in the energy world, such as power plants and switching stations. 

Recycling as a modern craft

All recycling work has been carried out since the company was founded. The principle of collecting, sorting, separating, processing and disposing of recyclable material at users is a way of working that is used to this day.

The means, methods, techniques, conditions and degree of reuse used have changed and improved significantly over the years. Today the materials are collected with container trucks, loaded and unloaded with hydraulic cranes, sorted out with cranes, cut and stripped with machines, broken, separated and shredded.
