BituRec, Bitumen Recycling. We saw an opportunity to use roof waste as alternative bitumen in road construction asphalt. Bitumen granulate that, as a bitumen substitute, is used in addition to old asphalt in the production of asphalt. As a result, bitumen roofing is the only one that can be recycled on a large scale. In addition, BituRec has the best Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) in its application to eco-raw material. And we are proud of that!

Recycling

In the recycling industry, ecology and economy must always be in balance. As a recycling company, BituRec wants to recycle everything and not just get the currants out of the porridge. This means that different applications of the recyclate are necessary.

Bituminous waste, for example, is therefore strictly selected by us. Only high-quality bitumen can be used as a raw material for a new roofing membrane. The other qualities are used for road construction applications, as bank revetments or as mastic asphalt.

At BituRec, a check takes place at all times to determine the quality of the outgoing bitumen grains. This guarantees a constant quality of the material!
