History

In the early 1940's Clarence S. Martin had a dump-truck operation hauling sand, gravel, coal and topsoil. In 1946, Mr. Martin saw a need for trash hauling service in Medina County and was one of the first to establish a one day route. In 1963 Mr. Martin's great-nephew, Curtis Perkins at nine years old, would ride along and help load and unload trucks after school and continued doing so throughout junior high and high school. In 1972, Mr. Martin purchased his first brand new compactor garbage truck. After graduating in 1973 Curtis joined the blossoming company full time. After several years of working together, Curtis knew his Uncle Clarence was wanting to retire. Curtis couldn't bear the thought of a stranger taking over the family business and decided to purchase the company. He and his wife Patricia became the owners of C. Martin Trucking and it's three garbage trucks in January 1985. To date, C.Martin Trucking has evolved into an established company offering an array of non-hazardous waste removal services in the Northeastern Ohio area.
