Rotherham Sand & Gravel Company has been a family owned and managed business since 1930. Four generations of the Scholey family have worked at the site giving us over 80 years experience producing the highest quality products and providing a level of customer service that keeps our clients coming back.

Since our foundation we have been dedicated delivering a quality product. In 1998 we were awarded the prestigious BSI Registered Firm Certificate for BS EN ISO 9001 confirming our commitment to operating the highest standards of quality assurance. We continually strive to improve our quality management systems to maintain our certification and ensure we continue to meet the requirements of our customers. Our onsite laboratory facilities allow us to ensure our products meet the relevant British and European Standards.

As a family company we value our reputation for customer service. We remember that the customer is a person and not just a name or number. All our customers benefit from our over 80 years experience delivering quality and service whether they are large trade customers, independent builders or households.

At Rotherham Sand & Gravel we take our responsibilities to the environment and local community seriously. In 2000 we gained accreditation to the internationally recognised ISO 14001 environmental management standard, one of the first independent aggregates producer to do so. In 2003 we redesigned the layout of our quarry and completed an extensive program of tree planting to significantly reduce the visual impact of the quarry on the surrounding rural environment.
