Avondale is a leading waste treatment facility, with operations in non-hazardous and hazardous landfill, material recycling and RDF production, soil treatment and landfill gas-to-energy generation. Avondale has been processing waste since 2000 and is widely recognised by local councils and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) as being the forefront of municipal waste treatment in Scotland.
Future Services
Avondale’s Material Recycling Facility (MRF) is capable of producing Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) which is currently used in Energy from Waste projects overseas. The recovery plant is expected to be operational again in late 2019.
The 262 acre site strategically located in the central belt of Scotland is ideally positioned to provide services according to current and future waste treatment and management requirements in Scotland. Clients include local councils and a range of third party I&C waste management businesses.
