Founder Jock Armstrong started the Armstrong family business in 1965, as an agricultural contractor serving the Kirkcudbrightshire farming community.

More than 50 years on we are still as passionate about our business. Our growth is driven by a passion for making things happen, especially within the Dumfries area, a commitment to traditional family values and a desire to return something to the communities we service is always at the forefront of our vision for the future.

From an agricultural contractor we have now acted as Principal Contractor for major local developments such as Costa Coffee at Cuckoo Bridge, Scot JCB at Heathhall and regeneration of Queen Street and surrounding streets.

The Armstrong Group are active in the property sector through commercial letting, residential house building and new commercial builds.

Over the years we have embraced new initiatives including zero waste, biomass technology and woodchip operations.

Continued investment in modern equipment has allowed us to meet customer demands, as we seek to deliver best value solutions throughout the Group.
