Cargo Pallets Ltd

Cargo Pallets is a family owned and run business that goes back three generations. It was founded in 1985 in a small rented unit close to the current Riverside Football Stadium by 'Mac' McCutcheon. Although semi-retired in later years, Mac remained our Managing Director until 2009. Mac was well known and respected in the pallet world and built the company up to serve a broad spectrum of industry including the Chemical Industry, Vehicle Manufacturers and packaging companies, to name but a few.

When Mac decided to enjoy semi-retirement his son and daughters took over the day to day running of the company. Neil is our Production Director and Diane our HR and Admin Director. Neil has over 40 years' experience in the pallet industry having worked alongside Mac since the company's inception.

In 1988, to accommodate the increasing demand throughout the North East, Cargo Pallets Ltd expanded into our current larger, purpose built premises, located on Bolckow Industrial Estate.

Since 1988 the company has developed and adapted to changing business requirements. In April 2003 we installed a kiln so we could offer a heat treatment service. To cope with the resulting demand this was followed by a second kiln in January 2006 and we continue to invest in new equipment as the business dictates.
