Recycled Wood Products

Established in 1983, Recycled Wood Products collects wood then recycles it into a variety of landscape and nursery products. RWP customers include landscape contractors, growers, homeowners and institutions. We also serve a large number of school districts, cities, counties and the state of California.

Our wood is collected mostly from various wood manufacturing facilities throughout Southern California. Sources include furniture factories, cabinet shops, lumber yards, etc. The wood is collected in containers provided by RWP. We operate a large fleet of trucks to transport the source wood and then the finished products to our customers.

Recycled Wood Products makes and sells many products, but our main product is SERVICE. Quality products coupled with value pricing and outstanding customer service is what sets us apart from others. Great products at great prices don’t mean much if you can’t get them when promised. Large inventories are kept on hand at all times, so you get what you want, when you want it!

ABOUT US

In the early 1980's, Chris Kiralla, our Founder & President, was an outside sales associate working for a major Los Angeles refuse hauling firm. During that period, Chris witnessed thousands of tons of trash being disposed of in our landfills. Some items, such as paper, cardboard and metal were pulled out for recycling and eventual reuse. While many things were being recycled, wood, for the most part, was largely ignored. BINGO! Opportunity was knocking and hence the creation of Recycled Wood Products in 1983.

Chris started out on a small piece of rented property surrounded by a rented temporary fence. He worked alone on a rented tractor with no employees to create RWP.

Through 35 years of hard work, prudent planning and tenacity, Chris along with his expert staff has grown Recycled Wood Products into California's premier producer of 100% recycled content mulch. Not only that, RWP has developed quite a variety of other landscape and nursery materials that are also 100% Green. Recycled Wood Products was GREEN decades before it became fashionable.

We currently manufacture our products at the main facility in Pomona and 4 other sites in the inland empire. The combined facilities total approximately 180 acres.
