Who Are We

Pountney Tyres is part of Credential Pountney Tyres Ltd (Credential PTL): a family run business, founded over 54 years ago. We operate from our tyre reprocessing plant in Worthing West Sussex and have established ourselves as the largest professional tyre recycling company in Southern England. We provide a comprehensive solution for all your tyre/rubber recycling needs.

What We Do

Pountney Tyres specialise in responsible tyre disposal and recycling. We reprocess car, truck, digger tracks (plant), solid fork lift tyres, agricultural and earthmover tyres, conveyor belts and rubber products. We are dedicated to creating an environmentally friendly solution to the recycling of scrap tyres.

Our UK-wide collection service offers a hassle-free, convenient and cost-effective way to dispose of your end-of-life tyres. We collect each and every working day and provide a regular reliable, dependable and flexible solution to suit all our valued customer needs and requirements.

We have a fleet of vehicles all serviced and maintained here at our own workshops that are on the road collecting from our customers every working day of the week.

Our vehicles range from from Articulated trucks to vans: regardless of the quantity and weight of collection, we have a vehicle to service your requirements. Our drivers are dependable and professional, providing an environmental conscientious service for all your collection needs.

We hold full Environment Agency waste permits for full collection and waste disposal and are registered as an Upper Tier Carrier Dealer Permit number CB/HN5370WY

We are associated with the main trade bodies of the Association Tyre Recovery (ATR) and Trade industry Federation (TIF) Responsible Recycler Scheme. The Tyre Industry Council’s Responsible Recycler Scheme, has been created to introduce world class standards for the collection and management of post consumer tyres, is an independent industry body in its own right.
