Roberts is a family-owned skip hire, tipper hire, plant hire, aggregate supplier and recycling concern with a long history of high quality service and a wealth of experience accumulated over more than 80 years. In 2006 we branched into a separate concern that specialised in asbestos removal and demolition. Over a decade later, the two sides of the operation continue to deliver excellent waste management services and much more. From our base in Bridgwater, in Somerset, we can cater to you wherever you are in the South West of England.

OUR HISTORY

Our values have been handed down through three generations of the Roberts family, remaining constant throughout our development and company growth. When Frederick Samuel Roberts (‘Sam’) started selling coal in Bridgwater in the 1930s, he couldn’t have imagined that he was laying the foundations for one of the most successful skip hire, tipper hire and plant hire companies in Somerset. After Sam passed away his 19-year old son Terry took over, helping Roberts to grow into a thriving business that has successfully diversified into asbestos removals and demolition.

This story provides the seedbed of the Roberts group that you still see today. We remain a market leader in the South West, retaining our ‘can-do’ attitude that’s been with us from the very beginning. After Terry retired in 2004, his daughters Vicky and Beccy were tasked with ensuring the company’s survival for the 21st century. They’ve responded emphatically – with the help of a dedicated team of professionals from the Bridgwater and Somerset area, Roberts provides a friendly, professional service that is dedicated to its clients. The business is run by a close-knit team who use their specialist industry and geographical knowledge to advise clients on the best possible solution for their needs.

Environmental considerations and solutions are at the core of our organisation, influencing our decisions and management of our waste, resources, emissions and transport. Through our expertise and experience in waste management, we are able to monitor and report our performance. We also offer the same service to our clients, helping them manage, sort and recycle up to 100% of their waste through our skip hire services.
