Loosemores (Transport) Limited was founded on 07 Jan 1944 by the Loosemore family. Alistair and Mike Stokes, Grandfather and Father of Julie Fullwood, acquired Loosemores in the 1960’s.

Julie and her husband, James Fullwood, and their two children Tim and Dee now run the business, after Julie’s father, Mike Stokes, and Mother, Frieda Stokes, retired in 2012.

James, now MD of Loosemores, has been working at the company for over 30 years with roles in all aspects of the company starting with demolition and recycling through to his role as MD today. The past 15 years James has focused on managing the transport side of the business.

Today, Loosemores runs a fleet of over 40 vehicles, from a centrally situated five-acre site at Battlefield, Shrewsbury.

Providing a range of vehicles suitable for national haulage, local tipper work and skip hire. Loosemores also provides recycling and waste services at the onsite transfer station.

Loosemores is a member of the Road Haulage Association (RHA).
