M McKenzie, established in 1948 is a third generation business with over 40 years experience in the waste recycling/ management industry and are one of the oldest skip hire companies in Edinburgh and the Lothians. We still operate from the same site and the central location enables us to provide our customers with the best possible service at very competitive prices.

In the 1970’s we operated and infilled a 25 acre landfill site at Old Pentland over a period of 20 years and successfully returned the land to agriculture. With the experience gained from this operation we were able to diversify to cover all recycling requirements in both domestic and commercial fields.

M McKenzie have continued to invest in, and modernise, the recycling plant and machinery at their waste transfer station at Old Pentland. Due to continued investment we have achieved recycling figures of around 85%.

M McKenzie is SEPA licensed and are proud of our clean “Bill of Health” with them.

We run a fleet of well-equipped modern vehicles operated by a team of experienced drivers with a first class knowledge of all aspects of the job. Our Controllers have a good geographic knowledge of the areas we cover.
