The main raw material for the production of paper is cellulose , which is obtained from wood in an energy-intensive process. Approx. Two tons of wood are required to produce one ton of pulp. Our enormous consumption of magazines, newspapers, writing, packaging and hygiene papers cannot be completely covered with local thinning wood.
